Continuing Education Units
The Roots CEU Process
In order to be in line with the most professional and credible continuing education standards, we introduced a new way of tracking and earning CEUs for our 2019 Annual Conference. At Roots, our volunteers ‘The Ghee Getters’ greeted you at the entrance of each session, where there was a CEU learning opportunity, and scanned the QR code on your name badge. Once scanned, your data was saved so we could track which and how many sessions you attended over the three days. This new system we introduced is called Boomset.
Boomset has enabled us to:
- Create an easier check in process: At registration you were able to check and update your personal information, choose whether to share your email address with our top sponsors and partners and print your own name badge.
- Scan you into individual sessions: By using a scanner-based verification system, we are able to track your individual session attendance and award CEUs based on the hours of training you directly participated in.
- Create certificates for membership renewal: Certificates have been populated with your name, the event and the amount of CEUs you earned based on how many sessions you were scanned in to.
- See which speakers and sessions were the most popular: We have been able to do this by reviewing total session attendance data by day and time. By knowing the speaker and session which was the most popular will inform how we shape our conferences in the future.
Your CEU Certificate
As of March 31, 2019, all conference attendees should have received their CEU certificate electronically.
Your certificate was sent by email from firstname.lastname@example.org. If you did not update your email address at registration, it will be emailed to the address you purchased your ticket with.
Please email the events team at email@example.com who will happily assist you:
- With any queries regarding the amount of CEUs stated in your certificate
- With any questions about which sessions you have earned a CEU for
- If you have not received your electronic certificate by March 31, 2019 (please check your junk/spam mailbox)
This email address is live until April 30, 2019. Please understand that it may take up to 3-5 business days for a response. We will address your inquiry, in the order of which it is received. We thank you for your patience at this time while we work through our new CEU distribution process. When you have received a response, if you still have a discrepancy over the sessions you attended vs the amount of CEUs stated on your certificate, please follow the CEU appeal process which is detailed in the next section below.
