Caroline Clavin

Caroline Clavin

Founder, Chief Gratitude Officer

Caroline Clavin is the Founder of Chief Gratitude Officer. Their Mission is to inspire, empower, and spread joy, and they keep that mission front and center in all that they do. She has spent the last several years of her life going through significant challenge, growth, and change. Much of this was prompted by the realization, 6 years ago, that her and her husband’s journey to have children was not going to come easy. As some of you may relate, challenges like this often cause a reevaluation of priorities. For them, this is exactly what happened. After a long journey, they are still working on building a family, now through adoption from foster care, but they know they are on a schedule that they should not question.

It was the realization that they would not be where they are today if it weren’t for these challenges that prompted her to create Chief Gratitude Officer.  Promoting herself to Chief Gratitude Officer (you too can be a CGO) was her way of honoring the shift that has been occurring in her life — the movement from feeding her ego to feeding her soul. She has found that leading with gratitude is a beautiful way to shift from scarcity thinking to conscious recognition of the abundance in our lives. And, amazingly, life’s challenges become a little less daunting when you realize the unexpected gifts that accompany them.

Check out their Facebook page to see how you too can become your own CGO (Chief Gratitude Officer)!

Kristy Malone, MFT, NTP

Kristy Malone, MFT, NTP

Kristy Malone is a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and mental health therapist. Her personal and professional experiences have led her to one unquestionable conclusion: optimal wellness occurs only when the body, mind, and life are in balance. When one of these areas is problematic, it creates a ripple effect into the other areas. Emotional stress takes an enormous toll on our bodies and can lead to a variety of health conditions. Similarly, anyone who has experienced a health or a weight issue understands that it is a deeply emotional and often isolating experience. It can impact relationships, career, and finances.

The most important thing she does for her clients is getting them reconnected with their own body and mind. She’s not opposed to traditional medicine or even to pharmaceuticals. What she is opposed to is giving up all responsibility for your own health, ignoring your intuition, and accepting what is “common” as normal instead of getting at the root cause of illness. You can dramatically decrease the outsourcing of your healthcare when you take a proactive, intuitive approach to wellness. In her practice she merges her mental health and nutritional therapy skill sets to get at the root cause of present health concerns, and to empower her clients to connect with their own mind and body. Together they work to correct the emotional and physical imbalances that are asking for your attention.

She also collaborated with the Institute for Functional Medicine to lead 3000 people through The Detox Challenge, a 21-day, online, functional medicine-oriented, holistic detoxification program. Results collected from almost 700 people in this program indicated a significant improvement in all body systems.

Her newest book, Whole Detox, was published in March 2016. In addition, she spends her time as a Board member for the American College of Nutrition and as adjunct faculty at the University of Western States.

She is the author of five books on nutrition, wellness, and psychology, and is passionate in helping others to live well using therapeutic lifestyle changes. She grew up with a health-nut mom and junk-food dad, who ultimately taught her important lessons about food – be conscious, but not so crazy conscious that you become a perfectionist. Having had her own emotional eating and health issues in her teens and twenties, she looked for solutions to her health and relationship with food. Her journey to find answers led her to weave together science, nutrition, psychology, philosophy, yoga, and chakras to develop a lifestyle system called Food & Spirit. She offers training to practitioners of all types to learn this color-coded system for health and wellness (www.foodandspiritprofessional.com) to help others to live a vibrant full-spectrum life.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Co-Host of the Low Carb Conversations podcast, a real food advocate, and the founder of Brisbane Paleo Group

Leah Williamson is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Co-Host of the Low Carb Conversations podcast, a real food advocate, and the founder of Brisbane Paleo Group.  She resides in Brisbane, Australia with her husband and two children. All her life she has struggled with weight and health issues, digestive issues, extreme fatigue and fluctuating moods.  In her early twenties she was diagnosed with Hashimotos an autoimmune condition and thought this would be the answer to her health issues but infact it was not and her symptoms continued to get worse.   After the birth of her son, she gained a significant amount of weight, had no energy and did not feel like herself anymore. She discovered Paleo and a real food approach to eating and went on to loose 30kg and never felt better. She started a community meetup group of like minded people following the paleo lifestyle to help support, encourage and motivate each other on their real food journey.  The group was so well recieved that there is now over 1000 members and similar groups being created around Australia and New Zealand. She runs an active Facebook page called Brisbane Paleo Family   to help inspire others with meal ideas for busy people.  Her philosophy is that if a busy mum with 2 children, a husband that works away me, works part time and runs a large community group can do this then she believes anyone can.  Her mission is to help people reconnect back with their kitchen.
